"He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself!"
This night has brought the silence of blind dark. Our Lord is dead--he has not saved himself. What hope can lie at his feet, in mud of dust and blood?
He saved others! Yet still his eyes roll back in pain, and the air is acrid with his suffering.
Can God be silent?
Can God die?
Know this Truth: He cannot save himself, for he saved others. The weight of pain he carries is the one lifted off my shoulders--a death that lasts an eternity, a death that has allowed him to love my wicked soul of wounds.
