Snowy Night

Oh, snowy night, what an abundance of beauty! And what a waste of perfection, each tiny speck that clouds the headlights' beam like stars in our eyes, like fog in a valley! Each snowflake giving us its own small glitter—its tiny arms reaching out into cold, its shape more unique than our faces—as it falls and is quickly melted by our industrious salt trucks. We are so careless with our fragile world; we are too busy to consider these small beauties.

But, see, see, just once: step out into snow or sand, under cloud or stars and see the majesty of just one secret moment, one breath alone with creation. There is nothing so precious as being privy to the mystery of our magnificent earth.
